About Tidal Horizon
About Tidal Horizon
A real WebGL sea under a sky that keeps time with the reader. As the section scrolls, the sun — or the moon — climbs out of the water, the sky changes hour behind it and the camera sinks towards the waves. The swell is procedural, the cursor writes ripples into a live wave simulation, and every crest mirrors the same sky it sits under, with a path of light sparkling towards the viewer. Switch between sun and moon and the whole scene crossfades. One code file, no libraries: it pins itself, pauses off screen, drops resolution on phones and holds one still frame in Framer's canvas.
Features
A real WebGL ocean: procedural swell, fresnel reflections and a sparkling path of light.
Sun or moon, each with its own sky: first light to morning, or moonrise to midnight.
The disc climbs out of the water as the section scrolls — or sinks into it, with Set.
The cursor writes ripples into a live wave simulation and gently tilts the camera.
Switching between sun and moon crossfades the whole scene.
Pins itself for as long as you choose, from one screen to ten.
Progress read from the section or from the whole page.
A content slot above the scene and a built-in scroll cue.
Waves, speed, ripples, tilt, mist, stars, glow, disc size and rise height.
Lower resolution on phones, paused off screen, 30 fps at rest.
Reduced motion, a static canvas frame and a no-WebGL fallback.
One standalone React + TypeScript file.
