About Aurora Field
An aurora, behind the work. One WebGL pass: two curtains of multi-octave noise flowing through a slow warp inside a vertical falloff, in three colours you choose. It leans towards the cursor, breathes with the scroll, draws at a fraction of the screen's pixels when the screen is large, stops completely when it is off screen, and paints soft bands on a 2D canvas where WebGL is missing.
Features
• A procedural aurora in one WebGL 1 pass, no libraries.
• Curtains rather than clouds: anisotropic noise with a vertical falloff.
• Three colours, Intensity, Speed, Noise, Flow, Glow and Position.
• Leans with the cursor and lifts with the scroll, each on its own control.
• Takes your section's content in a slot and stays behind it.
• Resolution budget that adapts to the screen, with four quality settings.
• Stops completely off screen; one still frame under reduced motion.
• Painted 2D fallback where WebGL is missing, reported in data-renderer.
• Context loss caught rather than left blank.
• One standalone React + TypeScript file.
• 18 controls in the Framer properties panel
• Respects prefers-reduced-motion
• Renders correctly on the Framer canvas and in export
