About Location Map

A location map for Framer that draws itself: no tile server, no API key, no request at runtime.

Places are plain lines of text: a label, a latitude, a longitude and an optional group. Coordinates are read leniently, so 51.5074, "51.5074 N" and "51.5074 degrees" all land in the same place, and a field a visitor clears falls back to its own default rather than to zero, which would drop every marker into the Gulf of Guinea.

The projection is plate carree, and the coastline outline was generated with the identical formula, so a marker and the land under it cannot disagree. Latitude clamps at the poles, so a typo stays visible instead of teleporting, and longitude wraps across the antimeridian.

Six regions crop the view: world, Europe, North America, South America, Asia and Oceania. The map letterboxes into whatever frame it is given rather than stretching, so the outline and the markers stay aligned at any shape.

Markers take a size and a colour, with an optional pulse that stops under reduced motion, an optional route arc between two places, and a legend that groups places by their group name. Every colour is a control: land, coast, ocean, grid, markers, route, text and chips.

After purchase you receive the component URL. In Framer, press Insert, choose Add Component URL, and paste it.
