Many Experts have reached out to me privately, which is why I wanted to put this here to hopefully start an important public conversation. Would love to pool what we know here and give Framer constructive feedback. ______________ My experience: Before the August update, I ranked among the top 10 Experts. After the update, I'm stuck around #1,528. The update was described as helping “better surface creators based on their contributions,” so I dug into the rankings. I manually audited the 150 Expert profiles ranked immediately above mine. ~75% had zero visible publishing activity since the new Community launched in mid-June 25% weren’t even accepting work The Expert directory has been a very meaningful source of high-quality inbound work for me. Going from top-10 visibility to ~#1,528 overnight has a very real effect on my income, after heavily investing in ranking well on Framer and becoming a Pro Expert, rather than focusing on Contra or other platforms. ______________ Many of us have spent years investing in this ecosystem: earning Pro Expert status, publishing work, building Marketplace assets, contributing to Community, growing substantial Framer portfolios, referring clients to the platform, and actively accepting Framer work. I'd also love it if, when major ranking changes are made, they were communicated to Experts in advance going forward. This is the second significant directory change this year without notice, and these systems directly affect our businesses. I think we all understand and support the goal of surfacing valuable contributors more effectively. We just need the system to actually deliver on it, especially when the people being buried are among those who have invested most in growing the Framer ecosystem. -------------- What are your thoughts, experiences, ideas?53:T7c3,According to Framer, the Trending ranking is not actually dynamic, and there is no set timeline for when rankings will be better at surfacing active contributors. I've been heads-down rebuilding my portfolio for the past few weeks, and it's finally live. New techniques, new scroll-driven animations, custom Framer components built from the ground up, a design language that finally matches the level of work I want to be known for. A lot of late nights getting the details right, but this is the first version I'm genuinely proud to put my name on. Would love to hear what you think.

Built this in 12 straight hours and honestly wasn't sure it would come together until the very last stretch. The concept: a branch floating alone in the dark, dying out and blooming back to life as you scroll, the old Framer fading into what it feels like to build without AI, then returning as Framer 3.0 with Agents.

Go vote if you haven't 👀

Been building a site for a football club that needs to convince investors before there's anything finished to show. Flashy doesn't work for that. So I leaned hard on scroll animations, especially one timeline that draws itself as you scroll, milestone by milestone, instead of dumping the whole roadmap on people at once.

Honestly, building it wasn't the hard part. Knowing when to stop adding movement was. Too much and it feels flashy instead of serious, and serious is what people want to feel when money's on the line.

Genuine question: when you're building for people deciding whether to invest, do you lean into motion for energy, or pull it back? Still not sure I got the balance right.
