A tea brand's brewing page is the screen someone opens at the kitchen counter, so I gave it its own page in ASAGIRI instead of a section.

Three teas, three temperatures. Sencha at 70°C, 4g per 200ml, 60 seconds. Matcha at 80. Hojicha at 95. Second steeps included.

The numbers came from tea shops here, not from filler copy. A buyer swapping in their own tea keeps the structure and changes four values. That's the part I care about in a template.

The whole thing fits one phone screen. Nobody wants to swipe with wet hands.

I rebuilt the first screen of ASAGIRI (my Japanese tea template) after it failed a simple test: show the page to someone for one second and ask what the site is.

The old version was an atmospheric hero with a nice mist photo. It looked good and told you nothing.

Three changes fixed it:

- An eyebrow that names the business: "JAPANESE TEA — SENCHA · MATCHA · HŌJICHA"

- Products moved up. The thing you sell shouldn't live below the fold.

- One clear CTA: "View the teas"

The mood is the same, but now a stranger knows where they are in a second.

We took MOTO Mini apart, decision by decision — why the background is paper instead of white, why exactly one typeface gets personality, why the vertical kanji appears twice and then stops.

The whole teardown is now a free kit: a 22-page PDF — the annotated teardown, a build-along for Framer's AI Agent (structure pass first, style pass second), the prompt library, and three exercises — plus the Mini remix link.

Tested Framer 3.0 against our existing templates (MOTO / MOTO Mini): zero migration, everything opens clean. Wrote up what actually changed for template users — including what the free plan does and doesn't include: https://www.swecflow.com/blog/framer-3-0-templates/

MOTO Mini is out — a free one-page starter cut from our MOTO template.

The editorial hero, a three-product grid, and the footer. Same paper-and-ink system, yours to remix.

Most templates don't die from bad taste. They die from well-intentioned customization.

I wrote down the five rules that keep a template alive when you remix it — plus a 10-minute pre-launch checklist before you publish.

ASAGIRI grew from one page to seven. Teas, brewing, craft, and contact, under one morning-mist home.

The brewing guide carries real temperatures and steep times for sencha, matcha, and hojicha. Craft tells the story in four verbs: pick, steam, roll, steep. The CMS holds origin and harvest notes for every tea.

Japanese tea, from mist to cup. Yours to remix.

MOTO grew from one page to seven: products, product detail pages, a journal, about, contact, and a 404. Provenance fields in the CMS, a working contact form, shared nav and footer. The update is live.
