Give your Framer agent actual context.

Set instructions and upload files at the project or account level, @ mention them anytime in chat.

This is what I've been missing in Framer's internal agent.

Lottus shipping soon 🔥

Cursor integration done ✅

Connect your OpenAI and Cursor subscriptions, then switch between them anytime from the same framer plugin.

Composer 2.5 is my top pick for most tasks. Opus level, fast and cheap ($0.50/M in, $2.50/M out)

Framer charges API rates for AI credits.

Your $20 chatgpt plan already gives you ~$700/mo of subsidized tokens.

Why burn credits when you're already paying for cheaper ones?

Building a plugin to connect openai/cursor straight to framer agents.

Drop a 🔥 if you want it!

Context Picker Framer plugin is live, free and open source 🔥

Native in-app agent can see what you select on canvas.

External agents like Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex couldn't, until now.

Select a layer, copy its context, paste it into your agent.

The fastest way to open the plugin is hitting CMD + K in Framer and searching for "Context Picker".

If you find it useful, please give it a like! ❤

"Wait which project is my agent even connected to right now?"

If you've used @Framer external agents, you've probably hit this.

Made a free starter kit that fixes it: one folder, one project, always.

unzip → drop in → say "set up the agent in this folder"

Not gonna make you comment to unlock this one, it's just free.

But if it's useful, a like, bookmark, and comment helps other framer builders actually find it 🙏

One folder per Framer project. Each one gets its own AI agent that knows exactly which site it's working on.

No more "wait, which project are we editing?" moments. Just open the folder, and the agent already knows the context.

Dropping a starter kit for this tomorrow 🔜

A different POV on the Framer review process removal: as a plugin creator, this update is honestly the best thing that happened to me this year.

Most of my plugins aren't just what you see inside Framer, there's also a server, a database and other infra pieces behind the scenes, kind of like a kitchen behind a restaurant.

New features usually meant updating that kitchen too. The catch: the kitchen update goes live instantly, but the new plugin version could sit in review for hours, sometimes a day. During that window, everyone on my old live plugin (restaurant) was being served by a kitchen that had already moved on, and I had to be very careful nothing broke for them.

Now plugin and backend ship together, the moment they're ready. No more split brain. Thank you Framer!

sorry guys I had to

framer template creators rn

feature idea for @Framer → give every project a context slot (think agents.md from the dev world)

users can fill it in with overview, design rules, gotchas, or anything relevant

great for template creators, but really for any framer builder with agents in their project

if an AI agent jumped into your Framer template right now, would it have a clue?

time for template creators to write context docs → pages, sections, cms structure, what to edit, where to edit it, plus a line on each key component.

agents jump in and just get it
