Sneak peek! 👀 Brute is our new portfolio template, and it’s been our excuse to push things a little too far, then pull them back just enough.

Big type, bold imagery, a little brutalist, a little editorial, and hopefully just on the right side of “is this too much?” Stay tuned.

Someone can love your template and still want a different hero.

We didn’t want that to be a sticking point with Dossier, so we just gave people three options to explore. The nice part? We already had the pieces elsewhere in the site.

We still can’t get over how easy it is to make a collection of images feel like a video with Image Reel ✨

It just got an upgrade with 6 image slots + 5 transition styles: Mixed, Horizontal, Vertical, Stack, and Steady.

Looks like Framer has updated the template tags. Styles are now broken out separately instead of being mixed in with the old category setup, so it’s definitely worth checking your existing templates and updating your picks.

Another tiny clue in the ongoing mystery of the Framer algorithm 🕵️

What if your images could feel more like a video? 🎞️

We wanted a more dynamic way to bring images to life without relying on a video, so we built the Video Image Reel for Framer.

See it in action →

Images push, overlap, glow, and blend into one another to create a cinematic sequence, adding depth and visual energy along the way.

Have you tested what happens to your Framer template or component when a user has animation effects disabled?

While building Dossier, we learned how important it is to test the full experience and account for reduced motion when creating advanced animations or custom components.

For our first Archipelagy Lab 🧪 video, we’re sharing how to test your site and how we adapted Dossier to keep the experience visible and functional with less motion.

A small Framer feature we miss: being able to see every page included with a template at a glance.

When someone is comparing templates, a homepage only tells part of the story. Showing the full list of included pages gives potential buyers a clearer sense of your template’s scale and a much better understanding of what they’re getting.

We ended up adding a linked page list directly to Dossier’s Marketplace description. Simple, but surprisingly useful.

While building Dossier, we had a lot of fun experimenting with ways to make images feel more cinematic without turning them into a video.

That idea eventually became Motion Deck.

Stack. Fan. Showcase. Repeat.

2D or 3D? Motion Deck just got a new dimension. 🪐

We wanted Motion Deck to feel more immersive, not just animated, so we added a new 3D option. Angled cards and perspective make the sequence feel like it’s moving through space instead of simply across the screen.

Have you played with depth lately? Drop a link below. We’d love to see what you’re making.

Yesterday we launched Dossier 🎉

Dossier is our motion-forward portfolio template for Framer. It’s been really nice seeing people explore and engage with it, especially alongside so much great work being shared here!

What’s everyone’s favorite tool for creating videos of their Framer work? 👀

Curious what everyone uses for screen recordings and editing when sharing templates, components, interactions, and other work here.

We built Dossier around the idea that motion shouldn’t just decorate. It should help tell the story. Scroll-driven moments, expressive interactions, and flexible layouts come together to make creative work feel alive!

More motion for Framer is on the way. Follow along.
