Kind Words

A testimonial carousel for Framer that runs by itself and stops for anyone reading it.

Type your quotes in the property panel, as many as you like: the quote, a name, a role, an optional photo, a star rating and an optional link to the source, including a page of your own site. With no photo, each person gets a monogram in their own colour.

It autoplays, and it stops when a visitor hovers it, tabs into it with a keyboard, touches it on a phone, switches tab or scrolls it off screen, then carries on where it stopped. A Pause button and a progress bar that freezes show what is happening. With reduced motion on it never autoplays.

On a phone a swipe moves between quotes and a vertical drag still scrolls the page. On a keyboard the arrow keys, Home and End step through them, and screen readers hear a carousel of labelled slides.

The box is as tall as your longest quote from the first paint, so nothing below it jumps when a short quote gives way to a long one, and every quote is in the page's own HTML.

The interval, transition, alignment, sizes, fonts, every colour and each part of the controls row are controls.
