๐ dither-studio-ayo.vercel.app
I was deep in an exploration last week and kept hitting the same wall: I wanted dithered visuals that moved. Not a dithered still. Not a video with a filter slapped on. The dither itself animating โ the grid drifting, the tone breathing under it.
Nothing did that. So I built it.
dither.studio โ drop in an image, a GIF or a video clip. It reduces it to a grid, dithers it, and animates the dither. Then you export a loop: GIF, MP4, sprite sheet, or plain text.
What's in it:
โ Ten dither kernels โ Bayer, rotated halftone, line screen, blue noise, FloydโSteinberg, Atkinson โ Or paint your own threshold matrix, cell by cell, and watch the image change as you do โ Seven motions that layer โ drift, wave, ripple, swirl, breathe, scan, shimmer โ Keep the photo's own colour, build your own palette, or pull one straight out of the image โ ASCII mode, if that's your thing โ Every loop is seamless by construction, not by cross-fade
