Open Plant Data

I designed and developed the website for Open Plant Data, a B2B platform providing commercial plant photography, structured botanical data, and content tools for garden centres, growers, wholesalers, and e-commerce businesses.

The approach was to make a highly specialized horticulture product feel modern, credible, and easy to understand. I built the website around a clear value proposition: giving businesses one reliable source for plant photos and structured data that can be used across webshops, PIMs, catalogues, labels, bench cards, and other channels.

I structured the experience around the platform’s core solutions—including the botanical image library, structured plant data, API integrations, e-commerce workflows, and ready-to-use tools such as plant finders and bench cards. The website also uses use cases, customer results, industry statistics, and the team’s horticultural expertise to establish trust and demonstrate practical value.

The result is a clean, information-rich B2B website that simplifies a complex data platform while clearly communicating its commercial value, integrations, and applications across the horticulture industry.
