Design Chillout

Design Chillout is a YouTube channel and educational hub. The platform is dedicated to providing helpful design resources, tutorials, and tips.

Project Overview:

Started as a passion project, it has steadily evolved into a growing digital platform. Currently, it is a one-person operation where I am responsible for every aspect of the project—from building the Framer site to producing the YouTube videos and crafting tutorials to designing the overarching brand and managing the website content. As the site and channel's audience continues to grow, the long-term roadmap means eventually delegating these content creation tasks.

Creative Direction & Approach:

For the brand identity, I wanted to strike a unique balance between bold design and a calming atmosphere. The visual direction draws heavy inspiration from the raw, structural characteristics of brutalism. However, to fit the channel’s signature "chill" aesthetic, I intentionally toned down the harshness of traditional brutalist design by incorporating fluid, organic visuals of ripples and flowing water. This contrast between edgy structural elements and soothing, liquid motion perfectly encapsulates the brand's ethos.
